Born at Godolphin and his owner Robert Proulx, the Brown horse was uncontested in last place in a field of six entrants. However, Miguel Vasquez placed him well clear of his rivals and he advanced steadily in the final stretch until he caught Murabeh (Bernardini), the favorite, at the finish line, setting the clock at 1:40.34 for 1 1/16.
It was his second win in twelve attempts, and he made the best impression in this Allowance Optional Claiming race in his debut on this surface. For Nolan Ramsey, it was his 18th win of the season, with impressive performances.
