First victory in the Turf (Photo Coglianese)

Respunzel’s (Spun To Run) debut had been completely false. Among the runners-up in the Laurel Park arena by a Maiden Special Weight; therefore, he needed another try, now on the Turf and at Gulsftream Park, where he had been exercising under the watchful eye of Nolan Ramsey.

Down from the pack, now in a Maiden Claiming for 35k, the two-year-old colt showed a better version. The colt came in pursuit of Big Boy Jack until defeating him in the final furlong, leaving behind the debutants Venezuela Is Gold and Venezuelan Hope, in 56″30 for the 5F.

The winner was ridden by Edgar Perez and raced for Paradise Farms Corp, Staudacher, David and Kevin Haynes, picked in the Texas Thoroughbred Association Two-Year-Old in Training Sale 2024 at 67k by Nolan Ramsey, who is on his fifth win at the Royal Palm Meet.
