Longbranch Lou with his eighth win
Once again, Miguel Vasquez was in the saddle aboard the chestnut Longbranch Lou (Bee Jersey), and his ride was superb; he urged the Nolan Ramsey-trained runner forward from the final turn, thereby holding off the late charge of Salvatore Prince to secure the eighth victory of his career.
There is no doubt that the horse—owned by Kenneth Ramsey—performs exceptionally well on the synthetic surface, where he was able to triumph at the distance of one mile and 70 yards. For Ramsey, this marked his eighth victory of the current season.
